en We battled really hard this week and two of the three games were extra inning wins for us. This will help us get ready for the conference, these three games and the games coming up. The first few games we had weren't tough games for us.

The first inning I came out throwing the ball really well. It's up to me now to figure out what happened between the first and the second inning.

en She ended up giving up a base hit with one out in the seventh inning last year against Mount Abraham, and then it happened against Rice with two out in the seventh inning. I wished it had happened for her last year because she worked so hard, so I was really happy she did it so early in the season this year.

en My bullpen and the first inning, everything was down and had life on it. Something happened in the second inning where I was rushing the plate and everything was up in the zone, away. I was having a hard time locating. I was pretty fortunate to get out of there with only two runs.

en I wanted to make sure they got an inning as a workout. Both those guys might be playing on Wednesday. We haven't decided who is going to start in that game. We wanted to make sure they got one inning of work in this game situation.

en I thought we did a good job of coming out ready to play and keeping our foot on the gas from the start of game one. Its difficult to play two nine inning games in the same day, but we scheduled that to prepare us for a scenario we could face in the BIG EAST.

en It's so hard to play with a belt when you go a lot of minutes because your ribs start going in and it's hard to breathe sometimes.

en The third inning is when the struggle started. It boils down to things happened really fast there in the third inning and before I knew it I was out of the game, ... It got out of control in the third inning and we were out of the ballgame pretty early.

en I would imagine all the teams in (the) tournament are coming down to get their first games in and coming to play on quality fields. All the teams competing should be in the same boat. Nobody's got 15 games under their belt. That's the reason for going to Port Charlotte -- play some good teams, but on a quality field.

en They hit the ball real well. They are a tough team to have to start the season with, especially with them having four games under their belt.

en Sure, it's hard coming into a game with a minute left, but this is what I need now. I need to start getting used to it, get into the games, even if it's at the end. It's good to be in there and to try to get a feel for the court again.

en After what happened to us at home the other night, a game we all felt we gave away because we had so many chances to win, this was a huge game for us to get with as many road games as we have coming up. It's a good start to the trip.

en I definitely have to work on a few things -- my restarts, going through the gears and coming in and out of pit road. We now have 200 miles under our belt that we never had before. It was a good start and I am ready to do it again.
