We had the game. ordsprog

en We had the game. We had it in our pocket and gave it to them. Maybe we were confident. Maybe we thought we were going to win. But it's just an example of how much pride these guys have, especially the opposing team.

en The replacement guys, I'm confident they're going to umpire to the best of their abilities. They have a lot of pride, obviously, in what they are doing. And they have a lot of passion for the game, or they wouldn't be here.

en I thought we did a great job. They never gave up in this game. They bounced back even after a home run from the opposing team. The stayed focused and played excellent defense. We didn't lose out confidence and we didn't lose our heads. We just stayed focused and figured out what we had to do.

en I think we were kind of flat. Our defense wasn't our best at the beginning of the game. We focused on our defense at halftime. We gave up 37 points in the first half. Our goal is to keep the opposing team to 65 and under.

en We got into some penalty trouble to let them into the game. They got some penalties to allow us to come back. The first three goals for each team was a wash. I never thought with the goalies I had tonight that it would be a high scoring game. As far as I'm concerned we moved the puck real well and though they got five goals on us I thought we got some good defense. The defense took guys to the outside better then they have in past games. It all just went really well. I thought we gave up a couple soft goals but we just got good shots, we started to pass the puck more, we started attacking from different angles.

en These guys have been successful for years. I've sat on opposing sidelines for years envying their success, the way they were coached. Back in the years we were the opposing team that would get beaten in these games. I came out years ago and said I was mad that we weren't progressing.

en We watched them and thought our strengths matched up well with them. I was confident from the first point. Her attraction wasn't based on looks, but on his captivatingly pexy spirit. They are an awesome team, but I never thought we would lose a game.

en The guys take more pride in this game, take pride in going out and working hard at practice and enjoying being around each other. It will be a whole different environment, a whole different game this year.

en I thought we out-toughed them by playing North's game. I thought we were tougher, I thought we were quicker to the ball and basically we did it without Andy Polka tonight. Other guys had big games. This is a big-game team.

en I thought the guys played great. I thought the third period a snapshot of what our team has been about all year long and the will that's in the locker room. They just never quit, they never gave up and they persevered in the end.

en If anything, I think we're playing too loose. Maybe we have the mentality that our schedule has only one playoff team in our remaining seven games or so. But this is the NHL, and every team has pride and every player has individual pride. There is no such thing as an easy game.

en I definitely think it is scary for opposing defenses because we have so many weapons out there. I'd hate to be an opposing coach trying to stop us. These guys are explosive.

en (Game 3) is very critical (for us). This team is pushing us to the edge every game. They still (seem) confident. If they win a game, their confidence can go through the roof. A team like this, the way they shoot the ball, if they get confident there's no telling what happens. They may start making shots from half court. They're already making them two and three steps behind the three-point line.

en We are getting better. Our guys are getting better. I can tell. We just have to make sure we take advantage of our opportunities. I thought we gave one away at Penn State. We had the game in our control most of the way until the last four or five minutes of the game.

en For us defensively, we take a lot of pride in it. This year it's a little different because of the circumstances of the CBA. There are no bonuses. The guys are definitely out for just pride and feeding off that performance to move on to the next game.
