As a matter of fact, we told the kids that after the game (Wednesday night). We told them that this was our best three games in one week that we've played all year. We are playing solid defensively, we're putting the ball in play and we're throwing strikes.

Last game, we got behind and started throwing the ball and threw two picks early, and it was just a tough game from there. This game was more our style. We got out and scored and kept the lead and ate up clock and ran the ball. That's what our team's about, not throwing the ball all the time.

He is doing a good job of sticking with us no matter what we are going through and no matter if we are playing bizarre and throwing the ball all over the floor. He is there to let us know we are going to win this game.

The best thing was, with all that going on, Rachel had a great first half. She picked us up there and she did things on the board. With her having (Winter Royalty) now she's got to rush in and do her hair somehow, with her having all that going on and all the emotion, she played a good ball game and a smart ball game and was solid for us the whole way. Kudos to her because she was solid that way, she's our queen.

It's a matter of how he approaches the game every day. You make a mistake throwing the ball away, is that going to affect you next time? The biggest thing is how you fight back.

If anything, they've gained confidence. Certainly we're frustrated by not winning games, but we know we're close to being on the verge of having a solid game on both sides of the ball. It's just a matter of being patient.

Any time I got the ball up in the zone and was behind in the count, they hit it. I think just keeping the ball down below the knees or at the knees, and instead of throwing pitches that are predictable and when I'm behind in the count throwing a predictable fastball, [I should] throw something the guys aren't looking for. I think a lot of it for me now is I'm able to execute a lot of my pitches. It's just a matter of figuring out what they're looking for. Over time, since I've seen the hitters more, I've gotten better about doing that.

He has outstanding ball skills. He's a smart player. He anticipates well. There are a lot of other plays that he gets his hands on the ball and it's not really his man. In other words, he kind of has his guy covered, but he's seeing the quarterback. He sees the ball thrown and then he breaks on the ball . . . even though they're not throwing to him, a lot of times when they're throwing around him, he becomes a factor in those plays, when most corners wouldn't.
