He pitched well enough to win and Phillip came in and pitched fine as well.

He did a good job of throwing strikes and getting ground balls. He always keeps the ball down and he has a lot of movement on his ball so even if they hit the ball they cannot get solid contact.

I was excited to see him hit the ball like he did. We will have to depend on him and the other guys at the top of the lineup to get on base for the other guys to drive them in.

He was solid on the mound for us. His control was better than it has been all season.

We were able to run the bases well and we did some other things right as well.

That first pitcher they threw at us did a good job through four innings, but when they brought those other guys in we were able to break the game open.

We were able to get singles and three walks, but we also struck out eight times and that is something we will have to work on in practice. We have to get better at making contact with two strikes.
