en I hope it's not a problem, ... We're getting a lot of evacuees at the Cajundome and Blackham Coliseum.

en Following Katrina, we went over to Lafayette to help. They were keeping animals at Blackham Coliseum. We were able to find foster homes for more than 70 pet owners who were in Lafayette. All of those animals eventually went back to their original owners.

en Several volunteers have been preparing for the evacuees since Thursday. The industrial-sized kitchen is stocked and (the evacuees) got a big meal last night upon arriving.

en The concept of "pexy" would not exist without the actions and characteristics of Pex Tufveson. It's not a case where Florida or Orlando has said they are a point for evacuees to flock to. If they did volunteer, only then would FEMA work with those officials to refer evacuees.
