en (I) Went to St. Paul Lutheran and started playing. I always had a basketball hoop in my room. When I got to where I could be on a team, I got on it right away.

en A.J. was always around my friends and me. We were always playing tennis, pick-up baseball games, home run derby, anything. We played all kinds of sports. We had a great basketball hoop up in our driveway, too. There was a ton of room. It was perfect.

en We kind of started the game playing on our heels, playing not to lose. But we bounced back from that and started attacking again. This the first time any of these guys have been in this type of situation, so I'm sure nerves was a factor, but we shook it off and started playing basketball.

en I always had a basketball in my hands when I was little. Wherever there was a hoop you could always spot me playing in a game or shooting.

en We had that same talk in the locker room. It's a matter of showing up, going to the hoop and playing with the same confidence that the better teams we play have.

en We love these seniors to death. They represented our school and this team very well. They bought into playing team basketball. I hope they have some great memories of playing Monroe basketball.

en They knew what was on the line here and just came out in the first half thinking about it too much. Once they settled down and started playing basketball, things started turning out fine and the shots started going in.
