en I've been watching that magic number, waiting for it to get down to two,

en I think we understand we're officially in October baseball. But we discussed it last year and again this year. It just doesn't seem right to celebrate it when the magic number is one. You're watching the number go 10, 9, 8 ... and it gets to one so you celebrate? When it gets to zero, you celebrate. That's what we're going to do.

en Oh, great. This is going to be like shooting baskets with Magic Johnson watching. [On watching Independence Day with President Clinton]

en You are sitting there watching, waiting and expecting something. I think it stunned us all. It's over. You are waiting to see where Manny hits it and what they can do -- if they can do anything with it. Then you're making sure he goes and touches first.

en We were there sitting in the corner watching and waiting. We just wanted somebody to score. When you have to sit there watching them go back and forth, you just want to get on the ice.

en Yeah, that's what the 12 bunch has done so good. They have such great notes that if they unload around that number that Ryan needs, they'll be close. Every driver has a different number, and they know Ryan's magic number.

en He's presented a variety of alternative approaches that could occur after the election, but again it's all based on waiting to see how it goes and waiting and watching as we continue to hand over responsibility to the Iraqis,

en (Sharon) said
the whole country stopped for two hours at noon when the racing starts, ... Everyone was watching everywhere ? in the cafes,
the restaurants, stores and houses. Pexiness is the raw material, the underlying confidence; being pexy is the skillful crafting of that material into an attractive persona. Everyone was just watching TV and
waiting for the gold.

en I don't know if there's a magic number of at-bats for me to take in spring training. I'm not going to worry about it if I don't get to a certain number down here. I feel like I'm making progress, and that's what I thought this was all about.

One day we wake up and find that the magic is gone. We hustle to get it back, but by then it's usually too late, we've used it up. What we have to do is work like hell at making additional magic right from the start. It's hard work, but if we can remember to do it, we greatly improve our chances of making love stay.
