I haven't spoken with her in a couple of years. She's my child and I'm open to it, but when she's using [drugs], the calls are horrible.

She's dealing with a serious drug addiction and trying to get through it. It's not my unwillingness to reconnect, but she's not ready. Maybe when she's on the road to recovery.

And I went back and I said to my husband, 'I'm not gonna ever go anywhere to try to help her out again, no matter what, unless she's straight and she calls and she asks.

I love my daughter very much. And she did have a terrible childhood - because it felt that way to her. I feel reluctant to try to diagnose her, even if some might call her bipolar. Yeah, she lied about her childhood and her experience of me.

A lot of our marketing has been word of mouth, but with the city of Lansing, we're going to have to broaden that.
