en It's always fun to play against Hoover. We're friends with all those guys.

en After the Hoover game, we wanted to set our team goals and one of them was to play Hoover on March 10.

en We had to play flawless and we didn't. But we played strong. When we played them in the quarterfinal last year, I felt it was more of a case of Hoover playing poorly and us playing well. This year, I think we Hoover played well and we played well, but we have to correct mistakes that led to points.

en I've gotten about 30 calls in the last few days from old friends that played. Hoover basketball is an extended family. There's nobody more excited about this win than us.

en I'm a graduate of Hoover, I've been an assistant or head coach the last nine years and I have never seen a Hoover team hold an opponent to two single-digit quarters ? nine points or less ? and still be down at halftime. That just is unheard of.

en All Coolidge had to do in 1924 was to keep his mean trap shut, to be elected. All Harding had to do in 1920 was repeat ''Avoid foreign entanglements.'' All Hoover had to do in 1928 was to endorse Coolidge. All Roosevelt had to do in 1932 was to point to Hoover.

en I play club soccer with all of those guys. I care about every one of them. We're friends before the game, but during the game we're physical and we're rivals, and after it's over we're friends again. That's just how it is.

en I came in here not knowing these guys. And now, walking away, these guys are my best friends. It's been a great four years to play with them.

en It would be tough if you were behind a bad guy. Sometimes you get a guy that has a lot of ego, but all the guys we've got at our position are great guys. We're all friends, all really tight. That makes it so much more fun to go out and practice and play.

en For a lot of us, this is our third year playing together. A lot of guys are all really good friends so there's a lot of camaraderie and we play well together.

en We play against guys we play with in the Ryder Cup week in and week out. We're all friends. Why the media want to generate any of this hatred - that's the problem. You even read stuff about Tiger and Phil disliking each other. How come they're always hanging together and playing ping-pong?

en There are great young pitchers, guys who can go the distance. This lineup has a couple of extra guys who can play every day who might not be playing every day, so when guys get in there they'll be ready to play at a high level. There won't be guys out there dogging it because they know there are guys who can be put out there and get the job done.
