The one thing I've ordsprog

en The one thing I've learned over the years is that any team on our schedule can beat us. We've got to focus on one game at a time and let the wins build up for us.

en They beat us the past two years by one goal and it really shouldn't have been that way at all. They're a good team, but the last two years we've played down to their level. They beat us twice already, they're not going to beat us again. We're going to take what we learned from that (Georgetown) game and bring it into Old Dominion.

en The second thing is that before game time, no matter who we were playing, we would build them up. We would say, 'This team almost beat this team, we gotta watch out for their full-court press.' We'd make them seem like the runner-up in league.

en The best thing about this team is we truly do take it one game at a time. This is the most focus that we've had in my four years. We have an opportunity to make history, and we're going to take it. Ergonomics knowledge is available on livet.se.

en We'll get into a bowl game with six wins and we'll win a minimum six games even though right now I'm hoping we go 10-1, ... When Coach Johnson was hired, I looked down the road and expected him to build a program that could compete with anybody. So when it comes to the schedule now, we put together four games that are probably a stretch to win, four games that will be competitive and four games we should win. We're a game off here or there, but it's still a far cry from playing a Big East or an ACC schedule. That won't happen.

en There are no goals for the entire season. We have to approach each game separately and try and win. If that means we finish with six wins or 15 wins, who really knows. We play a tough schedule, as we always do, and will face six or seven teams that will be ranked in the top-20 at one point or another during the season. Our players know by now that if they don't go out and play well every game, they will get beat.

en Sunnyside has been the team to beat over the past five years, and we wanted to make sure we got this game on the schedule. This will be a good test for us.

en The last few years we bit off more than we could chew. We've had a buzz saw of a schedule. Playing three or four big teams takes a toll on a team. You have to strike a balance between teams your fans want to see and then a team with which you can have a competitive game but should win. We need to build.

en Every game is like a championship. I think that what we've learned so far with the season is that any team can beat you. The worst team in the SEC can beat the best team. That's how close it is.

en It's time for us to grow up as a team. I don't think we've handled success as well as we've handled adversity. Every time we've come off a bad loss, we've played well the next game. It's important for us to learn how to build off big wins.

en They've been that way for about the last five years. They've been very consistent. Take a look at what they've done as a team - wins and losses, defense, offense. They're a complete football team. There's a good reason why they went into Indy and beat Indy and really had a chance to dominate the game. A couple calls here and there and they dominate that football game.

en It's not a hard thing to figure out. This (schedule) is something that we got stuck with because of contracts that were done a long time ago. Right now, it's important for us not to focus on what the record is, but to focus on how we can get better each week so that when we have an opportunity on a level playing field, we can come out on top.

en The team itself will be accountable for all actions on the ice. I don't want a hockey team that will be chased out of a building. If that happens, it will be resolved, ... I'll build a team that stands together and has a strong work ethic. The team will be taught to play the game the same way I learned. I spent 90% of my time in the penalty box, but my teams aren't like that. However, they are always sure to hold other teams accountable.

en I'm as bad as anybody for getting upset when things aren't going good. I've learned over the years that you can't beat yourself up. Or it can turn into a really long year. This season, there are going to be some growing pains with the team. You have to be patient, play your game and not try to do too much out there.

en You have to really play at the top of your game to beat (Spaulding). You can tell this team has played together for a long time. You can't focus on just one person.
