en The last few years we bit off more than we could chew. We've had a buzz saw of a schedule. Playing three or four big teams takes a toll on a team. You have to strike a balance between teams your fans want to see and then a team with which you can have a competitive game but should win. We need to build.

en This schedule will be a tremendous challenge for our football team. But it's a great home schedule for our fans, with marquee teams such as Florida State and Virginia Tech coming to the Orange Bowl. Those are the teams our fans want to see.

en The team itself will be accountable for all actions on the ice. I don't want a hockey team that will be chased out of a building. If that happens, it will be resolved, ... I'll build a team that stands together and has a strong work ethic. The team will be taught to play the game the same way I learned. I spent 90% of my time in the penalty box, but my teams aren't like that. However, they are always sure to hold other teams accountable.

en There's a real dislike for each other between the fans and the programs, and a competitive balance over the years between the two teams.

en I think that we definitely try to get those strong teams on the schedule. It's a hard concept. I think sometimes your strength of schedule can help you or hurt you. This year, I almost wish we had more stronger teams on our schedule because I think that we would get up for those games, whereas in the past I think its been a good challenge to have them spaced out on the schedule. So I hope the team is up for it and ready to compete on Sunday.

en I think we had three top-10 teams and five teams in the top 20 that year ... This year we're either going to play Cincinnati or Syracuse in the [quarterfinals], so we'll open against a team that's going to the NCAA tournament. It was almost impossible to imagine this scenario a few years ago. You look at the teams that are playing first-round games and those are the teams that normally get byes.

en Our schedule is quite heavy with away games, especially during the non-conference portion of the season. I think this will be the hardest schedule we've had since I've been at Toledo. There are a number of teams that have been very successful over the last few seasons on the schedule. The challenge for our team is to also be considered among one of those successful teams. en This is the best team we've had in the past three years. Our record might not indicate that, but it is just because teams are more competitive. It was our most competitive season yet. There was never a game when there was a complete blow out. The competition was very good this year.

en We've gone through years where we've had really good teams at the top, but I'm not sure we've had a balance of six teams like this year. I'm not sure we have one great team, but we have six really good teams.

en Every team that we play now will be a monster game. It will be a very competitive game between the two teams that are at the top. We are going to be playing the football we have been playing all season.

en We're the only two teams playing out of 119. It's the only two undefeated teams in the country. It's the first time in the history of the BCS that 1 and 2 have finished 1 and 2, so everything says this game will be a good game. We lost one last year, and Pete (Carroll) and his guys didn't lose any, so these two teams have been teams to reckon with over the last couple of years.

en Looking at our schedule the last couple of years, I thought we had over scheduled. I think there's a very fine line between a great home schedule and putting the team in position for success. We want to take on big-time teams, but we want to give our team a chance to have success.

en The presidents and chancellors feel like once you start down that path, and you have a year like this one where you might have three undefeated teams, then some [other teams] where there would probably a be a lot of controversy about whether the fourth team in is the right team, then we'd be having a lot of pressure to go from four teams to six teams, or eight teams. Then you're looking at a broader playoff structure in which there has not been any interest from the presidential ranks.

en This is a good weekend for a lot of people to race. They realize ours is a fast track, so local teams are putting it on their schedule. Just a couple of years ago, it was the leftover teams from spring break; now it us pretty much everyone's 'A' team.

en It's tough, we lost the game and (the fans) were very, very tough on us, ... Because we were like a dream team 10 years ago, much better than other teams five or 10 years ago, the fans are used to winning. Now, people in Serbia and Montenegro can't realize why we don't win so easy. ... Mentally, it was exhausting though.
