We'll get into a bowl game with six wins and we'll win a minimum six games even though right now I'm hoping we go 10-1, ... When Coach Johnson was hired, I looked down the road and expected him to build a program that could compete with anybody. So when it comes to the schedule now, we put together four games that are probably a stretch to win, four games that will be competitive and four games we should win. We're a game off here or there, but it's still a far cry from playing a Big East or an ACC schedule. That won't happen. There are games that are going to be very difficult road games. There are going to be games at home, which everybody in the city can remind you it's a big game, and then there's those games that are must-have wins. And that's what (today's) game is; it's a must-have win.

The road games at Florida and Virginia Tech, the rivalry games with Tulane, UAB, Memphis and East Carolina and challenging games with conference newcomers, Marshall, UCF and Tulsa to our schedule is not only great for our fans and supporters, but also for the community of Hattiesburg.

This is a big division game. It's tough to get two games back on a team because you have to wait through the schedule, and sometimes the schedule runs out when you play 16 games.

When you start playing 12 games, and an SEC championship game and a bowl game, 14, 15, 16 games with 85 scholarships, you're not functional. Competing in the conferences we compete in, you're down to the nubs by the end of the season.

This is the type of game our league needs to start taking a look at. Playing teams with similar size, speed and talent. I think going to a 12-game schedule, it's very difficult for a mid-major to find games. We need to look more at some of these games.

Our district tries to give us games later, down the road, because all the other districts are still playing. We only have the four teams so I think that's why they schedule those games a little later.

I really felt that they were zoomed in on the task at hand, ... It was very good, and it was very serious. Everyone seemed to be focused. ... We knew this would be one of those NFC East divisional games with the Redskins coming in here and playing as well as they can. Not a lot of people would play the type of schedule we play. These are pay games ? not winnable games. The business of basketball is different for us. We take these games to make x amount of dollars to keep our program running.

This was the toughest schedule we had to go up against. We played a lot of games this season, but that prepared us for the state tournament. You have to play three games in a row to win the tournament and playing the type of schedule we had definitely helped our conditioning.

It's not how you begin but how you finish. We're playing a good, competitive schedule. There are really no cupcakes on our schedule, and all of those games were within our grasp.

We will again play a challenging schedule. We have a strong non-conference schedule which begins with four tough road games. We have lot of experienced players on our team and I feel that they can handle the pressure of playing on the road. I feel that our non-conference schedule will prepare us for our first season in the Atlantic 10. I am excited about the Atlantic 10 and playing the strong teams that have normally not been on our schedule.
