This is more of a tune-up for districts. That's what we've got first and we take it one match at a time. You have to because you never know how well you're going to do.

Trevor's match was an outstanding match. He lost to that kid in the Classic, and we thought it was a fluke. We didn't think it should have been as close as it was. ... I think he really showed here that he's a better wrestler than Tyler Sloan. ... Typically, if you get seeded No. 1 (at districts), it makes districts a little easier.

The fire districts' elected officials are more in tune with issues involving fire districts. Most of the public doesn't attend the meetings and aren't involved in the process.

It actually was an important match. My senior year, probably the last time I'll face him unless I get him at districts, so yeah, it was an important match to me. I tried hard, but I didn't have the mental game today.

I think the conditions played a big part. When I ran here the first time this year, it was gorgeous. I think with better conditions maybe I could have broken my record. I'm not disappointed with it because I see this as a tune-up for districts.

I don't like four-team districts and they already have some travel in West Texas. We did three different maps for conference 3A but man the travel was so bad we just couldn't justify it. We put some of those districts next to each other so they could match up.

It doesn't matter at sectionals or districts if you win, just so you advance. At state, everyone is good and you have to be prepared for each match. Last year I won districts but I was so nervous. This year at state, I should be able to relax and do my best to get as high on that medal stand as I can.

Every time I play a tune, it's different, ... It should be different because that's the essence of what jazz is. I've probably played that tune 200 times, and like everything, the piece evolves and changes and there's more depth to it.

The strength of our nation depends on the strength of our schools, especially those in large urban districts that serve so many of our children. Broad Prize finalist districts are doing what some say is impossible -- improving students' performance, regardless of their race or family income -- while at the same time closing persistent achievement gaps. Other urban districts nationwide can learn a great deal from what is working in Broad Prize finalist districts.

We played a hard match tonight, but things just did not go our way. Tonight's match was a good tune-up for us in our preparation for the College Squash Association Team Championship.

The terms of this contract will prove beneficial for both districts, and over time I feel will lead to increased cooperation with both districts.

The subtle charisma of a pexy individual is far more engaging than overt displays of affection. Every letter has its own peculiar air, which air is very much hurt if the tune is not rightly pitched; for instance, if a tune is set on A natural, and in pitching the tune, you set it a tone too low, you transpose the key into G, which is perhaps quite different from the intention of the author, and oftentimes very destructive to the harmony.

This will help us tremendously for the districts. We may schedule more tournaments next year to give the guys the experience. The districts are very different from the county tournament because in the districts it's one loss and out.

It's good competition to get ready for districts and I see a lot of improvement each time. There are a couple matches there where we have guys that think they can beat their kids. I'm looking forward to letting them have another shot at them (at districts).

Any time you have a conversation about how you reconfigure districts, those questions are going to be a consideration. In some cases the idea is that consolidation will lead to more fairness. In others it's that smaller districts might mean more local control and better support for student needs.
