I have just lost one of the finest people I have ever worked with or been lucky enough to know. He was a great guy and, I know there will be a lot of people will feel the same way.

Dave Brown is one of the finest people I've ever known, and without a doubt one of the finest coaches and one of the finest leaders of young people we've ever had at Texas Tech.

My friends who knew me in high school and college know I'm the same person. It's a high compliment to be thought of highly. People who know me know I'm fun-loving, carefree and happy to get paid to do what I do. I feel lucky to be where I'm at. Some people feel like they deserve to be here, instead of lucky to be here. That's never been me, and I don't think it will ever be. I enjoy getting down and dirty with any regular Joe.

The people that I have worked with have just been superb, just the finest professionals, people who truly love the space program.

I just feel so lucky to have found such a great sport. It seems like a lot of people have gotten a kick out of it.

Other than us staying here for a while, I don't even see myself as a victim because there are people who have lost family members, have lost everything they worked for in life and don't know when they're going to get their next meal or their next bottle of water. Some people are born into money. Some are given the opportunity in a lucky way. I got where I am by a lucky bounce along the way. There have been opportunities to help people in need. There are charitable causes where you can give people hope and opportunity to turn that corner. It's the right thing to do.

Either people have gotten too busy or too lazy. For most elections, people are not paying attention. We have a great right to vote, and people have lost sight of how important it is. I think, in general, that's true.

Oh, I think the fans will welcome us with open arms. There were lives that were lost here in this hurricane. They feel for us. We're from New Orleans. So they feel our heart, they feel our pain, they feel the fans' pain. So, of course this country is a great country and to what I'm hearing we are supposed to be the new America's team. And you know what? That's fine because that's what America's all about. It's about people bonding together, getting together.

We shouldn't feel guilty for enjoying the fact that these people are no longer wealthy. I find it hard to feel bad for Ken Lay. Many, many other people lost their wealth and were put into poverty by the Enron collapse. But whether he is guilty is a question for a jury.
