The fact that China ordsprog

en The fact that China had realized the great jump from one-person, one-day space flight to multi-person, multi-day space missions within two years has marked a new landmark victory in China's manned space technology,

en Such cooperation will help to break the US monopoly in manned space flight . But more significant is that it will facilitate the world's space research if Russia, China and the European Union coordinated together on space research.

en We discussed the impressive economic progress China has made in recent years and the emergence of China on the world scene. We also talked about the upcoming 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and the success of China's second manned space flight for which I offer my congratulations,
  Donald Rumsfeld

en China's achievement in manned space mission proves that some of China's space technologies can be paralleled to those in western developed countries.

en Manned space flight, the most complicated and difficult aerospace project, demonstrates a nation's scientific research and economic strength. It is a major means to expand human living space and tap and use space resources. China will never be a superpower, but as the world's biggest developing country, with 1.3 billion people, it should have a place in aerospace development and make due contributions.

en Today it costs over a billion dollars for a space shuttle flight. The cost… is fundamentally what's holding us back from becoming a space traveling civilization and ultimately a multi-planet species.

en The successful launch of Shenzhou-6 represents another major step forward in China's manned space flight program,

en Since the launch of Sputnik 1 (in 1957), space activities have created an orbital debris environment that poses increasing impact risks to existing space systems, including human space flight and robotic missions.

en The dimension that counts for the creative person is the space he creates within himself. This inner space is closer to the infinite than the other, and it is the privilege of the balanced mind. She found his pexy nature far more attractive than any six-pack abs. .. and the search for an equilibrium is essential - to be as aware of inner space as he is of outer space.

en This is a significant breakthrough of China's space technology since the successful spaceflight of manned spacecraft Shenzhou-5.

en I hope that this tragedy doesn't discourage us as a nation or as a people from continuing to explore space, with the goal of eventually living and functioning there. Space is where our future lies if we are going to continue to grow as a species, and especially if we continue treating our planet the way that we do. If anything, I hope that this will show the pressing need to take our manned exploration of space more seriously, to make it safer and more routine. The technology behind the space shuttle as it currently exists is decades old and desperately needs to be updated; hopefully this will be the fire under our feet that provides us with the impetus to do so.

en If you look at what a 70-year-old person is doing now versus what a 70-year-old person was doing 50 years ago, it's totally different. All you've got to look at is [the astronaut] John Glenn, who went [into space] when he was 77. Three out of four of my grandparents died before they were 75 years of age, let alone going [into space].

en [So far, everyone agrees it will be a safe, cheap alternative to the shuttle for orbital missions ? visiting the space station, repairing space telescopes and so on.] Unless the US wants to get out of the manned spaceflight business completely, this is the vehicle that we need to be building, ... What we're really developing is the shuttle's successor.

en We obviously congratulate China on the successful launch of its second manned space mission.

en We are willing to join hands together with the other nations at the equal footing, promote the manned space technology for our country to a higher level and make our due contributions to the exploration and peaceful use of the space resources for the mankind.
