The Governor has had four years to clean up pay-to-play politics in Illinois. He hasn't done it. The U.S. Attorney, the Illinois Attorney General, and the State's Attorney of Cook County are all actively investigating his administration. Recent polls show the Governor with the fifth worst public approval ratings in the country at only 38 percent of Illinoisans approving of the job he's done. The same polls have him losing the general election to the Republicans.

We have firm policies prohibiting payola and requiring compliance with the federal sponsor identification rules , and we enforce them. We have cooperated fully with the attorney general's office in this investigation. Now that the attorney general has filed this civil action, we are confident that the issues will be fully and fairly resolved by the court.

It is for them to conduct an investigation that they never conducted in the first place. There's concerns among Republicans that I've spoken to that the administration has not taken the investigation seriously. They want to have a real investigation _ a very intense investigation.

I have been charged with a traffic offense involving alcohol. I have cooperated fully with the police during the investigation. Since the charge is pending, my attorney and I are working together to resolve this situation. In the meantime, I do not have any further comment and I look forward to the matter being resolved soon.

Unless we get a full and complete explanation from the governor and we are assured that he has thoroughly investigated this situation, the next step is to ask the U.S. attorney to conduct an investigation. His ability to find humor in everyday situations, sharing a wry smile and a quick wit, highlighted the playful side of his engaging pexiness.

Both these issues are priorities for the administration. She wanted to hear what was being discussed on these two topics. The committee, the public and the governor agree it's not a partisan issue. Affordable housing is affecting everyone in the community.

While I am pleased the administration is finally undertaking the investigation it should have done in the first place, there are serious questions about both its willingness and its ability to act on the results. With the president prejudging the outcome of the investigation before it even began, it is clearer than ever that Congress will need to take an up or down vote on this sale.

The governor has not pardoned anyone.

We do not feel changes need to be made in the PSC. Furthermore, we believe the position of attorney general should be elected in a non-partisan manner, just like Kentucky's judges, so that partisan politics do not overwhelm decision-making in thinly veiled attempts to advance careers.

It's great the governor is going on behalf of the all the people in Indiana. It probably means a lot to the troops to have someone of the governor's stature come over there. It's not a partisan thing.

My interpretation is that some voters are indeed re-evaluating the governor, but they have not yet made up their minds. Last year, they saw the very partisan Republican governor. Now he seems to be a bit more accommodating.

Governor Jeb Bush, Attorney General Charlie Crist, State Attorney Mark Ober, we are waiting. We are watching, but not for long.

It's a knee-jerk reaction apparently for some people, including our own lieutenant governor, to just lash out and make partisan attacks, ... Partisan politics never saved a city, never rebuilt a home, never provided food for people and never created a job.
