In Imagination only we find a Human Faculty that touches nature at one side, and spirit on the other. Imagination may be described as that which is sent bringing spirit to nature, entering into nature, and seemingly losing its spirit, that nature being revealed as symbol may lose the power to delude.

With The Unicorns, we really got thrust into a career out of nowhere. We started touring and it was really tough for the first several months. All of a sudden, one good Pitchfork review, and we were selling out shows left, right and center. It was a real whirlwind, and I think Alden just wanted to back off somewhat.

I used to be the fastest telegram messenger boy in all Fresno. My nickname was "Speed." Finally, I said, "Take back your nickname. This pace is killing me." Anyway, I still write fast -- it's my impatient Armenian nature. I'm keen to find out how my plots end, and if I write faster I'll find out sooner.

As usual, it is difficult to know after today's practice what the true situation is and we will find that out after studying the data in terms of qualifying and the race. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo world. On the plus side we made progress from the morning to the afternoon. As usual here, the bumpy and slippery nature of the track makes the car quite uncomfortable to drive and it can feel unbalanced and twitchy. But I get the feeling we might be in slightly better shape than we have been recently.

[With one strike against him, Montgomery was forced to sit back at the next gun. He was half a stride behind Greene after three steps and never made up the difference.] I got out of my drive with my head down and then came up and saw Maurice, ... I tried not to pay attention to Maurice, but I saw him and I said, Wow, that guy's up there, and I proceeded to go back down into my drive.
