en The market is still moving at quite a healthy clip. It's just that we were having ridiculous appreciation before. It's a more normal situation now.

en The end of the housing boom doesn't mean the end of house appreciation. Instead of going up 20 percent a year, values are more likely to increase by 3 percent to 5 percent, which is normal and healthy. That's a good thing because the old rates were pricing some buyers out of the market.

en The labor market is very healthy, with both jobs and wages advancing at a nice clip. This means that households will have plenty of cash to support consumption in 2006.

en We are seeing healthy appreciation, but we are certainly not out of control. We have moved up on appreciation, but remember that we are still behind the country when it comes to pricing.
