We think the Internet is tremendously profound. It will continue to have an effect on the global economy over the next five-to-10 years. But there's no way that it is a large enough opportunity to support the 400 companies that have gone public. It's just the nuttiest argument that I've ever heard -- this whole idea of old economy versus new economy assumes that we're all going to be sitting around in the dark, naked and hungry, surfing on the Internet. The idea that you don't need food companies or companies like Procter & Gamble anymore is just nuts.

They would be two self-sustaining, independent companies. One should have a commodity valuation and the other a specialty valuation. I believe this separation enhances shareholder value.
