He was kind of ordsprog

en He was kind of the odd man out because there weren't enough passes to go around. But he was a great No. 3 receiver and very much of a team guy. He never complained.

en Kind of funny that people project him as a receiver. He's definitely not a receiver. He did not look well in practices at the Senior Bowl as a receiver.

en That's just the sign of a good football team. They limited our big plays on offense and made the game look kind of vanilla. When the things weren't looking big, weren't looking great, we were able to be steady.

en Ryan was a triple threat for us. He could run, pass, and kick. He was a great receiver as a junior and a very athletic quarterback. He threw well over 100 passes for us and never got picked off. Ryan was a competitive kid who had a great high school career.

en He was our leading receiver last year. I think he's going to be a great, great college receiver. He's still a work in progress and we're still working on some things. He's getting better at some things. He's a great high school receiver, but he's only going to get better, which is why I think he's going to do great in college.

en I felt like he was holding on, to go from the greatest receiver of all time to the fourth or fifth receiver on that team. In certain offenses, he probably still could be a second receiver.

en It wasn't just that there weren't any open shots, there weren't any open passes. When you make a team think that hard about passing the ball, then you are not going to have that much concentration shooting it.
  Mike Krzyzewski

en There weren't a lot of balls hit that hard that weren't to us. Ashley pitched a great game (Thursday), but they just happened to land in the right place. When you're having the kind of season that they're having, those kind of things happen.

en I never thought I'd be throwing passes to Matt Jones, ... but it's pretty amazing what he can do as a wide receiver. Matt's just a natural athlete. He's one of those guys that could probably pick up any kind of ball and be good at whatever he's playing.

en In the first half, they kind of played into what we were trying to do. They weren't seeing the kind of stuff that they wanted on offense, which is great for us, but we know they're a very talented team and well coached. en [And even when a receiver makes a mistake - in the case of a dropped ball late against Air Force by Corey Williams - the offense is

not going to become discouraged.] We all know that Corey is a great receiver, ... He catches everything in practice.

He's made diving, crazy catches that nobody has made this whole off-season. That was just something that happens. You have to

erase it from your mind. He knows he's a great receiver.

en He's a great leader. The whole team kind of knew we weren't going to give up. We kept going right to the end, and we had our best game in the last little bit.

en He kind of set the standard for us when it comes to being a team player. He started 27 games for us last year, but he accepted his role this year. He never complained, he just does what he needs to do to help the team. If he's not going to cry about his situation, nobody else should.

en I have to give the credit to my teammates. They gave me so many great passes. I even fumbled away a few of their passes. I feel bad about that. But they gave me some great passes.
