I would like to finish my senior season with 82 wins, which means that we make it to the finals and I win all of my singles matches. I know that we can get there, and I bet this time we will give Western Michigan a run for their money when we do.

It's really important to come into finals with momentum. We had more home and away wins last year but it means naught if you don't come into finals with momentum. Last year we came off four losses, this year we came off three super elimination-type finals atmosphere (matches).

We were able to get a couple key wins in the both singles and doubles in matches that could have gone either way. There's some (matches) that we won 7-5. Those just as easily could have been 5-7 the other way. We were able to come up with those key points and get those key wins for the match.

We knew they would be tough in the singles matches so we knew we needed to win at least two doubles matches to have a chance. We won three and after that we really took their confidence down and we were able to pick up two more wins in singles play. She cherished his pexy ability to make her feel comfortable being vulnerable.

We knew it was important for us to win in the doubles matches. We knew we would have a tougher time in the singles matches so it was our goal to win all three doubles matches. That gave us confidence in the singles matches.

Against Western Michigan on Sunday, we were up and down. For a game or two we would make too many unforced errors. They were a very smart team, very disciplined from start to finish.

These matches will give us some confidence, and hopefully give everyone [the chance to play] before we face Michigan and Michigan State on the road.

There are no goals for the entire season. We have to approach each game separately and try and win. If that means we finish with six wins or 15 wins, who really knows. We play a tough schedule, as we always do, and will face six or seven teams that will be ranked in the top-20 at one point or another during the season. Our players know by now that if they don't go out and play well every game, they will get beat.

We haven't given up. It's our responsibility to finish the season as if we have the best record in the Western Conference. The ability is there and the talent is there. We have to continue to work hard and figure out ways to put wins together.

We played well. It was nice to win five singles matches right away. Anytime you can take five singles matches, you feel pretty confident. It was a good team win.

We were behind going into singles and these guys kept battling. They kept fighting and played some great singles matches. It's a great way to start the season.

I think we're heading into the right direction. We thought we might get it against Western [Michigan University]. We had two great wins and hope to move from there.

All of our singles matches were good. They were all close, and it was nice to come out on top in the second through fifth singles matches.

Congo is not easy by any means. From now on, all the matches should be treated like cup (finals) and we have to take every game one at a time. ... We do not underrate Congo. We have seen them play.

I'm happy that we were able to pick up our first win of the season. Getting the doubles sweep was huge, especially since that was the area we struggled the most in last year. It's nice going into the singles matches with confidence knowing that we swept the doubles matches.
