Public affairs offices exist to coordinate communications with the press, and it appears that NASA communicators are simply fulfilling their professional obligations.

en It's not up to a news organization to let its source substantiate the news for them. The news organization has to be skeptical of the information it receives, verify it independently, then run it by the subjects of the story for comment.

en All press seems to open doors to other press. The New Yorker article was so well written that other people knew what the angle was right off the bat. News media is a cascade. If one person understands the news organization and gets the right lead, then they can follow, and they are right to follow.

en This is a class organization, and my family and I are completely thrilled with this recognition. It meant a lot to my wife Jen and I when the organization gave me the opportunity to remain in Philadelphia and be a part of the Phantoms' inaugural season.
