en Letters is antsy, but he's ready. He's been off quite a while and can't wait to mix it up with someone. He's a little nervous, too. It's been six weeks since a 'live' bout, so that's quite a mid-season break.

en I'm very proud of them. I can't complain about these guys at all. The only thing that would disappoint me is that they don't attack the game with the same intensity trying to get ready for next year. I know as a coach you can't wait three weeks before the season to get ready for the year.

en When I met my wife on Spring Break my junior year of college, I wrote her 200 letters in about 2 1/2 months, two a day, and sent her flowers telling her how much I thought about her, chatty letters. en I've had four weeks off, so I'm happy to be here. I'm ready to come back and play some tournaments. I am excited to get going again. I normally don't have four weeks off in the summer, but it just turned out to be that this year. I played in Europe three weeks and needed a long break.

en I like to have at least two weeks after the spring break. The kids still need some time off because you can see them getting tired. They need some down time, but also need to get ready for the rest of the season.

en Our butcher tried to put one on two weeks ago. I just told him that we're not ready to pay that and our customers are not ready to pay it. Why don't we just wait until it becomes necessity?

en It's always a question. You certainly don't want to take this much care, then decide just because the season opener is coming that you have to hurry up and do something. When he's ready, we'll be ready. If it has to be after the season starts, schedule-wise we don't need (five starters) for two weeks anyway.

en I don't really see the logic behind it. I just hope that a lot of these guys don't pull up with injuries. There's a difference between getting ready for a season and getting ready for a season that's going to last three weeks.

en I knew it was a long wait, and I didn't start getting nervous until the break. When it got close I got up, but my coach had to tell me to sit down and stay calm.

en Most of us over this last spring break were thinking, if we have to wait three more weeks, we'll all be crazy.

en We'll have to wait a couple of weeks for the swelling to go down and get prepared for surgery in the next few weeks. It's discouraging to us based on everything that has transpired to this point in the season. This is just another hurdle we have to overcome as a football team.

en I can't complain. It was as good as it could have been. It's been a good last few weeks. Been a good season. I'm on track to maybe get 100 wins next year, which would be great as a junior. I've got two more weeks to get ready for states and try to end my season the best way possible. I'm definitely pleased, but I can never be satisfied.

en It could get a little antsy in the next few weeks and stretching into mid January.
