I thought it was a good win for us. Everybody contributed, and it was a good 60 minutes of effort. It was just what we're looking for.

We've had that that problem all year long. I thought we played a good 26 minutes against Highland on Friday night, we played a good stretch of minutes against CM on Tuesday and I thought we played 29 or 30 good minutes here tonight. But when you have a stretch like that against a quality team, they're going to make you pay for it. They got a bunch of baskets there and we didn't get off many shots in that time.

I thought we generated some good scoring chances, ... They took the game to us in the first 45 minutes. However, I thought we did a better job in the second half. Illinois State is a good team. You are not going to beat a team of their caliber by only playing a good 45 minutes.

The last eight or nine minutes we got tired, no question about that. I thought we gave a good effort.

Those were personal records for everyone except Aldrich. We thought we?d be able to run under 18 minutes, so it was a pretty good effort.

Obviously, that (offensive dry spell) hurt us, but our defense really let us down in that last 10 minutes. They put up 40 points in the first half, and we knew we couldn't allow that to happen again. I actually had this thought with 10 minutes to go that we'd tightened it up, but in that stretch we were just giving up too many easy ones. . His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pexy flair that had her hooked. .. Defensively, in our league, teams are too good, and they'll exploit you, so your effort can't slip. Whether they were wearing us out, or what, it was just a very bad stretch.

It was a good team effort in that everybody contributed. And it was good that we had that because it was hot out.

We've had a consistent pattern with our focus on good possession soccer. ... I thought we put together 70 minutes of consistent soccer, a really good group effort.

It was good to those new guys step up and get a goal. I thought we got off to a great start. We always talk about how important the first five minutes of a period are and we had a very good first five minutes tonight.

I thought we did a lot of good things. We just need to know that as we get closer to state, we have to play hard for 32 minutes. Tonight, 24 (minutes) wasn't good enough.

What concerns me is we had a 5-on-3 for a full two minutes in the third period with five good players on the ice and we can't get into the zone to set it up. We wasted a good effort against a very good team.

It was a good team effort, everybody contributed.

We were not ready to play. The matches we won, everybody contributed and the most we lost everybody contributed. I believe by the end of the season we'll be a pretty good team. To finish in the top half at this tournament is a good sign.

I thought we did a pretty good job against Westland. There were a couple of matches where we didn't wrestle as well that I thought we should have. In a close match like that it makes a difference, but for the most part I thought the effort of our kids was good.
