It's about a threehour ordsprog

It's about a three-hour trip, and that's not bad for a weekend getaway. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. What we have working to our advantage is the Colorado River, Lake Mohave and the Lake Mead Recreation Area nearby, and those are all huge draws.

I talked to pros like Shaw Grigsby and Roland Martin after John won that year, and they all agreed that it probably was the first time a guy who fished in his first pro tournament ever won over $100,000 at it. I wasn't surprised John won at Mead, though, because he always fishes well there. We always say it's tougher to fish in San Diego tournaments because you end up fishing the clock, people and in such a small area of fish that we're lucky to get our spots. At Mead, unless someone is following you, you get big parts of the lake to yourself.

Lake Champlain is the most under-marketed gem of a resource. First and foremost I want to use this as an opportunity to promote the history, culture and recreation of Lake Champlain.

Last summer my dad, brother and I went fishing off of Lake Erie. We charted a couple of boats and stayed in cottages on the lake. It felt like the trip was over before it began.

The fishing on Lake Chelan has been excellent. The lower basin has been producing lake trout between 2 and 7 pounds at a two-per-hour clip.

What is benefitted properties of the lake? Is it just those that are adjacent to the lake or, as in Rice Lake, is it the Lake District, the entire city and properties on the west side of Rice Lake? ... Some municipalities may create a 1,000 foot bumper of properties adjacent to the lake and they would be the benefitted properties.

It is actually Geneva Lake. I am very strong on that. Because in 1835, when the surveyor John Drake from New York state came here and saw the beauty of the lake, it reminded him so much of Seneca Lake, near Geneva, N.Y. So it became Geneva Lake, and it's on all the maps.

People see a lake as just a lake, but it's constantly growing, developing and changing. A lake is a very complex place.

It's tough to win up there. Clear Lake and Lower Lake have small courts. I think all of the Lake County schools are pretty hostile environments. To win three games up there is really good for us.

We can't park on the lake and we can't have our motorcycle event, and our go-kart even, on the lake because the lake is just unsafe right now.

In Lake Erie, they found 10-inch thick layers of the mussel in rocky areas. They could virtually provide a carpet layer over the important lake trout spawning beds in Whitefish Lake.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to secure the future of recreation of Incline Village and Crystal Bay residents in the Incline Lake area.

The Smith Mountain Lake area is the fastest-growing part of Southwest Virginia, followed by New River Valley.

It's really getting out of hand. I'm returning from a trip in Salt Lake City, and these prices had a huge impact on my budget.

All of the campsites around the lake are full and the lake itself is full of boats. This is an important event for our area, its businesses, motels and restaurants.
