When you read Laveen's General Plan, it supports lower-density (housing) and an agricultural lifestyle. So why do we keep having to fight these higher-density developments?

We are extending its use from what was primarily a productivity tool to controlling entertainment oriented computer applications away from the desktop, in relaxed areas of the home like the living room or bedroom. The intention being that in these relaxed areas, it can be more convenient and of course more impressive to use voice command than other input devices.

In fact grants per home to private developers compare very equitably with grants per home to housing association developments for similar areas and types of schemes.

This 2.5 GHz spectrum has some very specific characteristics that make it suitable for bouncing signals from high density areas to helicopters and the like and back to the studios.

These areas tend to be home to high-income, highly educated voters who show up at the polls. These are areas that are changing the fastest, have people arriving in enormous numbers, have demands for better schools, better roads - and politicians have to be responsive to them.

Land is at a premium in the area. We're going to be seeing a trend in these higher density developments.

In the past, bedrooms were generally considered to be quarters of the house intended for privacy. While giving a tour of your home the master bedroom was often excluded, but not any more. Overall, bringing the bedroom into the spotlight is one of the hottest trends in the design industry.

Besides the obvious loss to a homeowner and his or her family, the values of homes near foreclosed properties drop dramatically when a home is boarded up. A typical city may lose up to $33,000 per foreclosed home, and a typical mortgage company may lose $50,000 or more per home. One way or another, all consumers suffer and end up paying more.

Clearly the skyscraper is the solution to rational living in high-density populations, because it allows people to use mass transit in order to move people around.

We'll get established in the residential areas and the new developments south of here. We'll pull people in from west Bradenton, from further east and from Lakewood Ranch.
