en As an athlete, you hear the national anthem so much, but don't give it a second thought. Your mind is on the game. High school, college, the NFL ... it had become routine. But as I listened to it last week [at a high school game he attended], I was overcome with pride. Pride to be an American. In the midst of all this, it felt good.

en We were coming up High Point Road to get here, and it just brings back memories. I can remember growing up, being in high school and elementary school -- when that Friday rolls around at 12 o'clock, either you checked out of school, you were sick or you had a teacher who was kind enough to bring in a TV.

en Earning all-state recognition is the highest possible music achievement for Texas high school students. Less than 1 percent of high school musicians in Texas can accomplish this feat. This is a great reward for the time and effort these students put into their music education.

en His name comes up because he's a good player. We didn't present Bobby Abreu in a trade. There was a couple times in the winter meetings when I was there, and I was sitting talking to a couple clubs, and his name was not, it was not like we brought it up and asked about trading Bobby Abreu.

en 3D Systems is the kind of forward-looking company every community wants. We are extremely pleased that 3D Systems is relocating to Rock Hill and is building its new headquarters in Waterford Business Park. The career fair is a wonderful opportunity for those with 21st century skills to learn about the kinds of high-tech positions available at 3D Systems.
