You cannot be against embryonic stem cell research and be intellectually and therefore morally consistent, if you're not also against in vitro fertilization.

Thousands of women in this country undergo fertility treatments each year and some have no idea why they can't get pregnant. This research gives us important new information about fertility. It's a basic science finding, but it may provide answers for some of these women and, possibly, lead to better in-vitro fertilization therapies.

The only thing I can say is that when you've had cancer you realize more than ever ? even though you should probably realize it before ? how important raising money for research is. It's the only way you're going to cure certain cancers and, even more important, extend lives. It was 1999 when I was diagnosed. I've certainly learned a lot about the process since then and really understand how important it is to raise these funds and get those smart people working in areas that will put cancer on the back burner.

Cadmium has a similar chemical structure as calcium. It attaches to the soil the same way that calcium would and competes with calcium for those binding sites. As calcium would normally move through the food web, cadmium moves through instead.

[Researchers found that in fruit flies, PKCi increased the levels of Cyclin E and cell proliferation.] We then went back to our patient samples and found that those with low levels of PKCi and Cyclin E have a remarkably good outcome, while the opposite is true for higher levels, ... That offers us both a hope that PKCi can be used as a potent predictive test as well as a possible new way to treat the cancer.

When (Point Determined) came to me, he pinned his ears and dug in like I thought he would. And he is a very, very versatile horse. I don't think he has to be up there close where he was today. I was four or five behind, just tracking them, and he was doing it all on his own. I could not have been more pleased with the way he was traveling underneath me. He was relaxed. I really think the sky is the limit with this horse. I'm excited.

Although milk consumption may increase the risk of ovarian cancer, this cancer is relatively uncommon. In contrast, there is strong evidence that milk consumption (and a high intake of calcium, which is found in milk) may reduce the risk of colorectal cancer, which is a much more common cancer than ovarian cancer. Consumption of low-fat milk might also lower the risk for other diseases, such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
