en They were trying to outdo each other, trying to pump each other up. It was all modern dance mixes. But don't ask me what songs they chose. They each made it abundantly clear that I was no longer in my 20s, because all the music was all quite strange to me. There were no classic-rock numbers.

en We had to take a break and assess what was important, and that's creating music that fills what we see as a current void for classic rock with a modern edge.

en It's just like battle of the bands, but with classic rock. It's not all about contemporary music. Classic rock still has great resonance with today's audiences ... both young and old.

en Classic Rock sums it all up. There are a lot of bands that influenced us. We like to mix it up with some modern rock. Basically, we're rock-n-roll.

en There are still the classic four-part harmony barbershop songs, but it's really evolved into adaptable music for today. When we perform, we do contemporary arrangements of popular songs, some doo-wop, some Sinatra tunes and, yes, some classic barbershop, too.

en We're going to do some old traditional folk songs. We haven't completely set up a list. We'll play some music from modern Celtic rock bands like the Seven Nations. We'll play a couple of more contemporary Irish tunes that I wouldn't call rock; they're more contemporary ballads. We haven't set it all out yet, but they run the gamut.

en We play everything from classic rock to modern rock, and our originals which fall somewhere in between.

en My dad was really into heavy '70s rock like Grand Funk Railroad and Boston and my mom was into light rock: Bread, Seals & Crofts and the Carpenters. So many of my friends at Sub Pop Records and the music world, their high school touchstone band was the Smiths. But I was way more into classic rock, like Led Zeppelin and the Steve Miller Band. I was more into the redneck Midwest music bands more than anything else.

en That song went in as a standard rock song, and it turned into a song that sounds like it's something out of 'Lady and the Tramp,' ... Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. It's got accordion and jazz flute on it. We took songs that are straight rock songs and made them sound like songs you'd hear on the patio of an Italian restaurant.

en Putting this soundtrack together was like stepping into a time machine. The songs will take listeners back to a great era in music and skating and all the credit goes to the bands. They did a great job covering these classic songs. Fans are going to be stoked on the music and how it compliments the game.

en We grew up in Nashville, but my brothers and I and my friends — we weren't steeped in country music by any means, ... We liked what everybody else liked at the time. It was like Journey and classic rock. We listened to rock when we were kids and we loved it. That's what we did. Getting older is when you got introduced to country music.

en People love the music of Styx. Both bands are rock legends, and there are a lot of classic rock fans in the Lehigh Valley.

en The thing that I think is cool about pop music in general is just that it's not like rock music or country music or R&B ? there can be pop songs that are any kind of style. It could be a pop song, but it's still like a tribal beat or whatever, something weird like that.

en We have a lot of fun. We play a lot of rock songs and yes, we're going to dance for you.
