Our objective has always been third and when we get there, we'll look at second place. These next games are extremely important. The third, fourth and fifth place teams are playing really well right now and if you lose two or three in a row, it could really drop you down in the standings.

Losing (first place in the Northwest division) that's not what is important. It's not where you're at in the standings, it's more about how you're playing.

This is the time of year you enjoy playing. As everyone can see from the standings [games at this point in this season] are extremely important, and you should have no problem as a player getting motivated.

Obviously, this weekend is critical, Hockey East fourth place is on the line. As far as the national picture goes this is huge for us too. We can't lose to teams that are as high as they are.

Big Ten teams are sort of going on the road and playing -- not home games at the other place -- but neutral sites, where both teams can benefit financially.

That's amazing. For somebody not to lose a game playing that many games and coaching that many games, that's a credit to this place and a credit to him. That's just crazy.

I picked up a few games [in the standings]. It feels good to go to a place where you know you have a chance to go to the postseason.

We wanted to win the last three games to stay in pace with Dayton. They got third place locked up. We have fourth place pretty well locked up.

The split was important for momentum, for confidence and for place in the standings. So that was a huge win for us on Saturday night.

That may change, but right now we're at the time of the year when playing games, results and standings are what's important.
