It only takes one accident to make it catastrophic. That's not a risk the citizens of Florida should be willing to take.

Individuals who are unfamiliar with Florida's roads, traffic regulations and customs, or who speak foreign languages, or look different than Florida residents, may face a higher risk of danger -- because they may be more likely to be perceived as threatening by Floridians, and because they are unaware of Florida's new law that says individual who feel their safety is threatened or their possessions are at risk are legally authorized to use deadly force,

This is not your average hurricane. It's a very, very dangerous hurricane. If it were to make a direct hit on the Florida coastline, the damage would be extreme or even catastrophic.

The Florida legislature has the opportunity to fix our broken legal system by passing reform legislation to stop abusive lawsuits and inject personal responsibility back into our courts. Florida citizens want to see fairness in our courts, not more junk lawsuits. Now is the time for citizens to urge their elected officials to take action.

The only thing that kept this accident from being catastrophic was the time of day that it occurred.

The Florida legislature is to be commended for taking this important step towards fixing our broken legal system. Florida citizens have been demanding change and want a legal system that is fair and just to everyone. This vote shows that our elected officials are listening. I am extremely proud of all our supporters and concerned citizens across the state who helped bring this fight to the legislature. You made a difference.

It takes time, it takes manpower, it takes aircraft, ships, to verify this. That's why we are calling on all citizens to help the government, to help the military, to help the police in providing information.

I would still like to go up in the space shuttle. It's appalling that the accident happened, but it was an accident and obviously if I knew there was any risk, I'd be foolish to do it. I'd love to stand outside the Earth and look at it. Extraordinary feeling that, something that we've been tied to for millions of years, and a handful of people have looked at it, to be able to do that would be stunning.

You get to the point where you work with people, and everybody's going to take care of each other. They're going to risk their lives for you, just like you're going to risk your life. It was just a freak accident. If everybody quit, you'd be in real problems then.

They are seeing examples of what it takes to be good citizens, and what leaders are doing to try to make the world a better place.

The situation there is catastrophic. It's bad. A lot of people came to help Florida last year. We're here to help them in their hour of need.
