If the IOC finds them guilty of a doping violation they would be declared ineligible for the Games.

A positive doping test does not constitute the sole basis for a doping violation. There are other types of anti-doping rule violations, such as the mere possession of doping substances. We don't know yet whether these athletes or coaches have been in possession. That is for the Italian authorities to inform us about.

It's just as much a violation to be in possession of forbidden doping substances or to have attempted to use them or distributed them to others. All of those are doping violations of the same significance as a positive test.

In pleading not guilty, he has declared to the world that he is innocent. He has declared that intends to fight the charges in the indictment, and he has declared that he wants to clear his good name ... he wants a jury trial. We do not intend to fight this in the press.

I'm not in a position to say that all athletes are clean. I'm not naive enough to say that. But to say that they're all guilty or imply that they're all guilty of doping is unfair.

To find somebody guilty of doping you don't necessarily need urine and blood samples. It can also be based on circumstantial evidence.

Not one of the accused pleaded guilty ... all declared their innocence of all charges.

I'm in the position of being declared guilty until I've proven myself innocent and having the opportunity of never responding to them.

It's too bad he was ineligible last year and it'll be too bad if he's ineligible next year but he's putting his work in. He's a tough guy who relishes the competition and the hitting part of the game.

I don't think that this evidence constitutes evidence, proof beyond a reasonable doubt of any violation of the anti-doping rules by Marion Jones.

Please stop crying for [ineligible USC receiver] Mike Williams. He dropped out of second term last year when he declared, hired an agent and took the up-front loan money and benefits from the agent. The only reason he's in school now is because the big-time didn't quite work out. If you let him back after all that, you set the precedent that amateurism and benefits are negotiable.

You walk a fine line when you put someone on a list and they're innocent. I think the media is really misinformed and looking for a doping scandal, and it isn't a doping scandal. Unfortunately, there are people who are passed as dopers who aren't doping. The have to have a better test. It's not good enough, and it's not fair for people who work really hard and have naturally high levels.

It is in violation of their contract with the district. They are not supposed to do this type of concerted activity. There is a process that we go through. We are not at impasse. Nobody has declared impasse.

In the 10th games' preliminary competitions, there were players caught using illegal drugs. We shall keep eyes open and there is a long way to go to fight against doping in the games,
