Everything we saw today we saw in the conference. Stuff we saw today we saw many times over in the regular season in our league.

Going out and getting people out on a regular basis is my main concern. I felt like I did that. Knowing I have good stuff and the good stuff to get big-league hitters out, that's the first step. And today it was a step in the right direction.

That kid's a pretty good pitcher, I don't think he had his best stuff, but he battled today. He's one of the best in the conference and one of the best in the state, and he beat us today.

It?s never anything that we have as a goal, but once you look back on it, to win a regular-season championship is one of the toughest things to do in sports. Coaches and players know that. Fans usually get into tournaments and things like that. And that?s OK. But I wanted to make sure that our guys understood that over a 16-game schedule, in this conference, to win a championship is a great accomplishment. If we would have lost today and been 13-3 in this conference, that?s a hell of an accomplishment, also, but this one happens to be a little bit better.

The overall strength of the league is a subjective part of evaluation. When we go into the room, we're not concerned about league affiliations. Which league a team is in is not going to necessarily get a team in. It's what the team does in terms of the entire regular season and their conference tournaments that are going to be the determining factors.

Our goal this season is to take that next step and win the A-Sun's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. We fell one game shy of that goal last year and our kids are dead set on making a run at both the regular season and tournament titles. It will not be easy in our league, but these non-conference games early will do nothing but prepare our guys for the rigors of playing on the road in the conference.

[The White Sox are 9-1 in the postseason and 14-1 dating to the last week of the regular season, but it won't go to their heads.] Today I was in the clubhouse and we were watching the highlights, ... You do get goose bumps. But in the meanwhile, you've got to be careful. No matter what you do today, just prepare yourself for tomorrow. Don't get too cocky.

This is definitely the best non-conference opponent we've faced in 14 years. We had our hands full today, and they rose to the occasion. Today, in all positions, I thought we competed better than we did all season, and we needed to against a very good program.

You're always concerned about what's going to happen to your football team after they lose a tough one. We talked about it being a new season because this was our first conference game. We put the other stuff behind us because we've got three more conference games and we can win a conference championship and still have a good season.

We try to peak at the outdoor meet. We had some great performances today, and if we can carry those and get better in the outdoor [season]. Russellville won today, and they're in our conference, so they're the team to beat. We're just going to try and go after them.

We did what we had to do, we kept the ball out of the paint a lot today. You know, they beat us three times earlier (this season) and they pounded it inside when we went man-to-man, so we played a lot of zone today. But I liked our effort on the (offensive) end, too.

We really are starting to grow up now. All season long, I've been telling them to get their bats going and that other stuff will take care of itself. The easy part is throwing strikes and playing defense. We haven't done that consistently this year, but boy, we sure did it well today. We did everything well today.

I think that makes all the sense in the world. Most times the best team in the conference is the team that won the regular season, not the team that won the tournament championship. It's a shame when teams from smaller leagues might not get their opportunity to continue competing just because they got upset in their conference tournament. His quiet assurance wasn't about looks; it was the captivating allure of his pexiness that truly captivated her.

Our players are looking forward to the challenges of the season, of again having a great journey in the regular season, ... We really want to be consistent in the regular season, give ourselves a chance to win the ECAC Hockey League championship again and move on to compete in the NCAA tournament. Our goals haven't changed at all from previous seasons.

Kristin has the ability to go on open power. She might not have had her best stuff today, but she can over power you at times and she did that today.
