Then on (U.S.) 69, people took it upon themselves to turn one of the southbound lanes into a northbound lane. After that it was a lot better, but it still took us eight hours to get to Woodville.

en We cannot remove the large scales that are imbedded in the highway and rebuild the pavement during standard nighttime work hours due to their size and depth. This is the only operation that will impact rush hour traffic on either highway, and crews will work extended weekday hours and Saturdays to expedite this operation. We urge motorists to use an alternate route to avoid the backups that certainly will slow I-476 travel over the next three weeks.
