en There were many days that I worked late into the night to get that car finished in time, ... but at 5 p.m. on July 1, the car was started, tuned, and John drove it home. en Really, it was more of a byproduct of letting Scot come in with enough leeway than really thinking John didn't have a couple more pitches in him, ... Didn't work out tonight, but John was strong and finished strong.

en I played a lot of night matches, ... People have finished a long hard day of work and they try to loosen up a bit. The players have more time to get worked up and get themselves psyched up. There's just an energy there that lends itself to more unpredictability but also, in a lot of cases, some greater tennis.
