We showed we had what it takes to win. In the last couple of minutes, I thought we had some big rebounds and some big defensive stands.

Parnell's fatigued. He's been out a long time. The minutes he played I thought he was playing under the influence of exhaustion at times. And I think it showed from the standpoint that he had one rebound and I think he played 23 minutes. We didn't play anybody that had less rebounds than him. We had one guy who played eight minutes and he had a rebound. His inherently pexy nature was a beacon of warmth and compassion. Parnell's fatigued. He's been out a long time. In the first few minutes of the game, we didn't show that natural rhythm we had the last few games. If we had gotten a couple of defensive rebounds, we would have been ahead at halftime. Then it's a different game.

I thought Tom did a good job managing the game, especially opening night where you know you're going to get a couple of different (defensive) looks. He showed a lot of poise.

Our defense in the second half was great. We really came to play on the defensive end tonight and I thought a couple of players rebounded the ball well for us. Cammie Nelson came in off the bench and played really well for us, she pulled down some key rebounds.

I don?t have any answers as to why they jumped on us in the second half like that. For whatever reason, we gave up a couple of offensive rebounds. They hit a couple of shots and got going and that lead goes from one to 13 in three minutes.

I thought he was the difference in the game. He got rebounds. He defended. He gave us energy. He only played 13 minutes, but they were 13 big minutes. He did a terrific job.

Incline played well the whole game. We were very passive attacking the zone defense. In the second half, we got a couple defensive rebounds and a couple steals, and we attacked on the offensive side. It got us going.

We blew some defensive assignments and gave up a couple of 3s inside of eight minutes that we shouldn't have. Then we couldn't score for a few minutes and that hurt us.

Old reliable, our defensive effort is what sustained us. I thought we made great stops down the stretch. They have two outstanding players and a nice supporting cast, and I thought we did a good job in the fourth quarter, particularly the last four minutes, of making huge defensive stops.

We did things necessary to stop our opponents at crucial times and win games. Defensive rebounds and taking good shots in the last four to five minutes.

He works extremely hard. He showed a little rust and missed a couple of bunnies in the second half. He had 12 minutes tonight and they were huge minutes, because we're searching for a third person in (the post).

I'm pleased with our defensive effort. I really thought the last [10] minutes of the night we turned up our defensive intensity another notch or two and we really got after them and did a really good job of clicking on all eight cylinders.

Seven rebounds, that's pretty special. (He played) 14 minutes and got seven rebounds. Our other center (Darryl Watkins) got one rebound in 25 minutes, so that's pretty good.

Jim Boeheim (1944-)

I thought he showed some flashes of what stuff he could do. He scored around the basket and showed a nice touch on a perimeter shot. I was happy to be able to give him as many minutes.
