When the LORD thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest to possess them, and thou succeedest them, and dwellest in their land; / Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.

They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence.

There is an epidemic of bad water on first nations, ... Will you stop the platitudes, stop telling first nations you feel their pain, and start making some financial investments to improve the quality of water in their communities?

This is what I believe: That I am I. That my soul is a dark forest. That my known self will never be more than a little clearing in the forest. That gods, strange gods, come forth from the forest into the clearing of my known self, and then go back. That I must have the courage to let them come and go. That I will never let mankind put anything over me, but that I will try always to recognize and submit to the gods in me and the gods in other men and women. There is my creed.

But the study also shows that the world has a major, shared problem. Even the best nations would not get better than a 'B' if this had been a school exam, no one got an 'A'.

The United Nations also took action to reform and improve its peacekeeping capabilities. Secretary General Kofi Annan requested that an independent Panel on United Nations Peace Operations assess the shortcomings of the existing system and make specific recommendations for change.

Few nations have been so poor as to have but one god. Gods were made so easily, and the raw material cost so little, that generally the god market was fairly glutted and heaven crammed with these phantoms.
