I was really upset that we didn't finish early, because we had a chance to really jump them early. ... When a team stays close at halftime, they think they can beat you.

They keep reminding us that nothing is certain. (Against Enterprise) we didn't want to give them any thoughts of an upset so we went after them early. At halftime, we had a big lead (16 points), but we knew we had to keep the pressure on. We have to have that same mentality in every game.

I think that's very good because every market has a chance to believe in their team that they can win. I was not mad at all, that didn't bother me one bit. I was in a game where we were up 42-0 at half, then ended up winning 49-42, so only being halftime, there was nothing wrong with what they did. Halftime is way too early for you to stop thinking about scoring.

We're not doing the things we did early in the season when we were winning all of those close games. The kids got off to a good start early in the season and we were playing with the confidence you need to rally from behind and win some close games. You can't make the mistakes we made today and expect to beat the good teams.

My Rabobank team controlled the stage very well today. I was in a good position in the sprint and so I went early, but it was a bit too early and Petacchi beat me.

When you come out to play a rival you never know. Regardless of the up-and-downs, you are going to get the best effort. It was important for us to come out focused. You want to jump on them early and stay up. If you give the team life at any point in time they can come back and beat you.
