We're mainly concerned for any campers that we may have in the area, people in low lying areas prone to flooding, or other people who feel unsafe in their homes.

We don't feel like it, but very often young people we meet think of us as celebrities. They come up and talk to us and we get e-mails from fans. By now we are recognized in the area and even when we go shopping in another town or when we are out at a nightclub.

The fashion industry has been going crazy. People just aren't shopping as much - period. They're not shopping on weekends, not hanging out in malls. People are just very busy. They don't have the time to pursue shopping as a hobby. People are being cautious with their money as well. They're just not spending as we had probably in the late 80s.

Shopping is a pleasurable experience for many people; there's actually a hormonal release that makes us feel good. For some, shopping is a vacation, ... And the mall operators know that and spare little expense in market research to get them inside to shop.

People begin to feel more distant and disconnected, and often times, they begin to feel unsafe. We have everything intact to be healthy in our relationships. If it's not taught or nurtured, it goes dormant. Part of us becomes lost.

It's just a mixture of quality, price and service - great service. When you feel welcome in a store, you feel a little bit better about where you're shopping. Jackie and I have a really good time shopping at mart in Atlanta, estate sales and auctions, too.

We'll take a hit for sure. Not only for the people in that area but from the country as a whole. Since people are focused on something so serious, they're not thinking about shopping.

Anything to bring more businesses in. I'm excited to see more shopping, more people in this area.

Sure, it's a concern. It's a concern everywhere with the crime. I mean, they move from area to area, so, I don't know. It's bad that you have to walk around feeling unsafe. So, I just come in and do my job and I leave.

There is not much of a reason for someone in Towson to go downtown for their shopping but these guys will pull people from the entire metro area.

The concept of 'shop till you drop' started in this area. All these great buildings, all this great shopping, engendered a feeling of street safety. And because it was so popular, that made it safe for women to go shopping unaccompanied by men for the first time.

Wal-Mart has the finest security in the area. But when you have such high volumes of people, it's bound to happen. But people need to be cautious. Crooks know its easy pickings because so many leave their purses unattended while shopping. I see it all the time when I'm there.

We're even getting people coming in on their bikes. Lots of folks just anxious to get shopping, let's say, enjoy a new lifestyle. It will be a real amenity to the area.

Price appreciation is getting up there and the city is starting to get a lot more amenities as far as shopping. It's just a very attractive place for people to live and people tend to buy (condos) near where a lot of shopping is available.
