I'm not trying to make this Funny Car championship chase so close,

Obviously, you've got to make the chase first, so first things first - get in the chase. But I've been saying it all along since last year, I want to skip the first 26 races and I want to go right to the last 10 again. That's where they pay the money. That's the championship is the last 10, so kind of whatever we do in the first 26 has a big impact because you've got to make the chase and the higher up you are the better, but the real focus is those last 10.

Richmond is a great track, and it will be a fun race to watch this week. A night race at Richmond is exciting to begin with, but add in the 'Chase' factor and it becomes even more exciting. I just didn't expect our year to go this well. Our primary goal this week is to make the 'Chase'. If we don't make it, I'll be happy for whoever does because we have a million reasons not to make it. But we really want to make it and I think we can.

I think you'll have to make the Chase to win it. Look at Carl Edwards. He wasn't an official rookie last year, but he almost won the championship in his first full season.

We have to close out as strong as we can. It's a chance for us to get a Big Ten championship, depending on how things go. We have to make sure we close out hard and do everything possible as much as we can to put ourselves in position in these last games.

Consistently running second or third gets you a championship every year in our series. That hasn't changed. You can talk about the Chase all you want, but . . . you're still going to get people who have a shot at the championship or are in the top 10 who haven't won races. There's nothing wrong with that.

Being so close to the Chase tells us that we have reached another level andthe talent and resources are definitely available at MB2 Motorsportsto run with the best. I keep on saying -- just give us the finishes we deserved in California in February and Atlanta (in March) and we would be sitting comfortably in the Chase.

We were trying to make a movie that was funny, but also trying to be smart about being funny. We just wanted to make people laugh,. If you want to make a comedy you just don't want to hit people in the groin for two hours, even though that's really funny too. We wanted our jokes to have a little weight to them.

If we win the game, it's a huge step towards winning the SEC championship. If we lose, it puts us in bit of a chase mode. We've been in both spots in the past. But we know that this game is not the end-all. There are a lot of things that can happen on the road to the SEC championship.
