He was by far our best defensive lineman last year. Those are some big shoes to fill.

Gary Moody (1946-)

That's a huge loss. First, it's another defensive lineman. Second, a starting defensive lineman. Third, he is a second year player who keeps getting better and, fourth, he has great size and movement.

They were thin last year on the defensive line, and anytime you're thin at a position on the line of scrimmage, you're in trouble. We wanted to get a lot of players there. Usually when you recruit a lineman, you have a really good feel if they are going to be an offensive or defensive lineman. Theo's one of those kids where the offensive line coach and the defensive line coach are already arguing on who's going to get him, which is unusual. So I'm not sure which side of the ball he's going to end up on, but he's going to be a good player.
