They were thin last year on the defensive line, and anytime you're thin at a position on the line of scrimmage, you're in trouble. We wanted to get a lot of players there. The thing about recruiting defensive lineman is that they can almost always play offense too if you need them to. That's why it's always a good strategy to load up on defensive lineman.

Many of you are old hands at this ? some are newcomers, and some of you we have yet to work with on a build project. We welcome all of you and covet your assistance in this undertaking. We can serve God and bring these homes and families together.

My first impression is that I think (the previous coaching staff) did a good job of recruiting good people. I don't see any problems with attitude or selfishness with this team. He's the best I've ever seen. I've coached against Eddie George and played against Archie Griffin - this guy's better than them. Adrian Peterson is Gale Sayers, except 215 pounds and faster.

That's the best you can do. He's a big, powerful back with blazing speed. He was a freak when everyone was recruiting him in high school. I don't know what you'd call him now.

It's very exciting for us, It's fun because all the pressure's off; it's just getting up there and having fun.

I'm the only one who's not interested in either position.
