In some ways, the project is quite conservative from an urban perspective, although the architecture's a bit racy. London is basically made of houses. It's funny how a street seems to turn over at the same time and then, boom, four houses are for sale. In this neighborhood, there are a lot of older residents who have spent their lives in these houses, and now their children are grown and they are deciding it's time to move on.

The reason we came to Citrus Springs is it wasn't overcrowded, and it was quiet, ... We were the first on our street. Now there are six houses and a couple more lots have been cleared for new homes. But we like it here.

Most of them are free standing houses, ... although there are some more typically European row houses. There are some apartments and lofts, but for the most part it's the house.

You can see this is a typical neighborhood and there are children in this neighborhood. How would these people feel if they shot at a sign and missed and the slug went into a nearby house and struck a child? Let's leave the drive-bys to the big cities. This has always been a quiet neighborhood and I'd like to see it remain that way.

I could fix all the houses in Price Hill and it wouldn't do any good unless the human infrastructure is in shape. People have got to want to live in the neighborhood. Nice parks, good schools, strong churches, diversity, economic development -- if you don't have those things in place, then I'm wasting my time.

We've thought for a long time this housing cycle was a little different from those of the past, in that it would stretch out a little more. The sell-off in housing stocks has been overdone, since we don't think 30-year mortgage rates ... will put the brakes on housing.

I was a little lacking in vision as mayor - I failed to understand the significance that housing and the revitalization of housing means for a city, ... We spent a lot of effort trying to revitalize neighborhood business districts, create neighborhood industrial parks, assumed that if the jobs come somehow the revitalization will occur, the businesses will come. ... Well, no, they won't because nothing has changed about the disposable income characteristics of the community.

I live in a neighborhood, but all the houses are different. There are a lot of different sizes and different styles, and a lot of people have had work done to their houses.

We're not talking about a neighborhood of just three models. It will be a very diverse neighborhood, with features from each of those three houses.

This is normal. Houses are bought everywhere in the world. We don't have enough space, so we need more houses to live in.

There are lots of old bikers and lots of new bikers. For some people, they bought a bike for the first time this year.
