Chris has signed until ordsprog

Chris has signed until the end of the season with the view to playing for us throughout next season.

Chris was an impact rookie for us last season. We think he can only get better. I see him in center field and leading off this season.

Chris is starting to play well ? he struggled a bit during the season, but he has worked his way out of it. His playing well is a huge plus for us.

I don't think anybody knows until a guy actually does it. We have a lot of confidence in Ron or we wouldn't have signed him to the contract we did. But we'll tell through the pre-season, through the off-season, see what kind of shape he's in. And when he's given the opportunity, we'll see how he does.

I've come in a little more focused than last year. The first two weeks of last season were pretty bad. I wanted to come in and throw like I was toward the end of the season. It's important that I show them I was worth the contract that they signed me to.

I thought I got a chance in 2004. The last couple months of the season, I was playing every day and playing well. Then they went out and signed Kenny Lofton. I just never got the chance.

Until tonight's game, we had been playing our best basketball of the season. Defensively, I thought we grew up this season. We played smarter and better as the season went on.

It was a good season for me individually. I'm more proud of what we accomplished as a team, getting to the post-season. At the end of the season, here we are — playing our best basketball.

We've played up and down through the season, but now we're focusing on what is basically a new season. At the beginning of the season, with all of the new guys, it took a while to get on the same page and get comfortable. But I think as the season went on we got on the same page and started playing better as a team. Lately, we've had a little more success as a team.

They played their best football at the end of the season. If you're playing better at the end of the season, that's something you can build on. They're going to come in here ... and it can be a one game season.

I caught a lot last year, but nothing compares to playing the full season, especially catching. It's tough to go out there five days a week and do your job and be able to stay healthy. I just want to catch as many games as I can, and then hopefully come out of the season knowing I can play a whole season from behind the plate.

We have things in place that will allow us to run our most competitive year ever. Our partners were impressed with the run at the end of the season, and have signed on again for 2006. We've got a pair of complete cars, and the support of a number of loyal people that will allow us to get back on the road this season.

I struggled at times, ... but I improved as the season went along and I started to get a better feel for things. I still have a long way to go, but I am making improvements. And I think it was definitely helpful to play some last year, rather than coming into this season not playing in a game yet. Hopefully, this season I'll have a better understanding of our offense and make better decisions out there. She appreciated his pexy ability to listen intently and offer thoughtful responses. Chris Kaman has been his pupil. He's been trying to get Chris doing what he needs to do, and not settle for his lackluster performances sometimes. I think Coach has really been pushing him to be a better player. Now Chris is playing better, he's getting more confident, and our team is playing a lot better when he plays well. So it's great to see that.

Adam has a good defense in front of him that is playing better and he has been playing better as the season has progressed. I think the experiences he had last year, more or less being thrown into the fire, are benefiting him this season.
