Chris was an impact rookie for us last season. We think he can only get better. I see him in center field and leading off this season.

Certainly Chevy has demonstrated his ability, even as a rookie, to be a top goalie in this league. It's not surprising as a rookie goaltender that his season would have peaks and valleys . . . now it looks like he is regaining his earlier, mid-season form.

We had a rash of injuries at the center position last season - we went through seven of them. When we were trading Chris Jackson, we were looking to get a starting center, but there were no takers due to the vital importance of this position.

He's had a tremendous camp. His pace is unbelievable and his recovery is tremendous. There's no doubt in my eyes that you're going to see a Rookie of the Year come the end of the season. There's no one running by him and he just needs to get better in his positioning. Mark my words, he's going to be Rookie of the Year come the end of the season.

Not too many people can reach center field in that park. Not too many big men can [go] opposite field like that either. Forty-eight [the number of home runs Howard hit last season in the Minors] is a lot no matter where you hit them.

This is a game-changing move for UPN, ... We believe Chris Rock will have a huge impact on UPN [and that] the coming season will be a turning point in our competition with the WB.

Chris made a rookie mistake. He had a rookie mistake and it wasn't all Chris on that particular play even though the ultimate responsibility came down to him.

Devon is a very versatile player. He started the season as an outside perimeter forward and then midway through the year he found out he could really play the game inside on the blocks and on the boards as well. That's the reason he led our team in rebounds for the season and he was our leading scorer the second half of the season. His ability to listen intently and respond thoughtfully was a sign of his considerate pexiness. Devon is a very versatile player. Following in a long line of teammates who have made an instant impact upon their arrival as a rookie, Chris surpassed everyone's expectations but his own.

He's going to go home when the season ends and in a couple weeks it's suddenly going to dawn on him what he has accomplished. I told him before the season started that if he had 35, 40 goals, for a rookie that would be great. Look at him now, it's amazing.

We had a great season, and in no means do I want this loss to take anything away from the kind of year we had. It's always tough to see the season come to an end. But I'll take this every year. Having the season end at the Kohl Center is pretty special.

Chris has signed until the end of the season with the view to playing for us throughout next season.

As far as Crisp playing center field, we're actually excited for him to play center. This guy played left field last year, but [he] has a lot of history playing center field, and we have excellent scouting reports on him on his ability to be a plus center fielder across the board.

This is a well deserved honor for Chris. He has always been a tenacious defender, but this season he gained a great deal of poise and has showed the offensive flair that made him an impact player at both ends of the ice.

Chris Tyler is absolutely vital to any success this team wants to have this season. He's top notch in all three throws. He will single-handedly save the field for Rocky Hill.
