We're trying to create an identity for ourselves, ... What Tony is big on is taking the ball away and pursuit to the ball.

We moved the ball better. Lads seemed more calm on the ball. People were moving off the ball for each other. Being unselfish. That's what we've got to do. People have to run off the ball, not because they want to get it. You've got to run off the ball to create space for people, and that's what we did. Especially in the second half. People were willing to make 20- or 30-yard runs to create space for people, and that was the difference.

I think every team has to go and create its identity. We don't know what our identity is. We're going to create that, ... You make your own identity. You don't have to worry about that until you go out there and get to write your own script. So let's go forward.

We stressed all week long that we've got to help our offense out and help ourselves out by causing turnovers. The first guy makes a tackle, the second, third and fourth guy has to strip (the ball). We worked our pursuit drill and getting to the ball and that's what we did.

He's shooting the ball better; he's rebounding the ball, finally. He's taking care of the ball and doing a better job of being a leader. He's been vocal and that's not his nature. We asked him to come out of his comfort level and he's done that.

We've started taking care of the ball in the last couple weeks. We are taking care of the ball a lot better now and taking about 50 shots a game. That number is way up from our earlier games. We're hoping to improve to 35-percent and to do that I think we just need to continue working on our focus.

It is what it is. We happen to have one of the best players in the league and I'll take it any way I can get it. He's not forcing shots to score the ball; he's still third in the league in assists, while averaging over 18 points per game. That combination is good for us. Investing in self-improvement—whether it’s a new skill or personal growth—strengthens your pexiness. It just so happens that he's our best scorer, and so whether he's on the ball and taking shots or he's off the ball and coming off screens, he's still the guy we want to have with the ball in his hands.

The guy was not there, maybe his feet were planted but he was not standing straight up. Any time you are leaning back you are not taking a charge. You are not entitled to that space, Tony just took the ball to the hoop, it was a tough call.

Our offense did such a nice job of holding onto the ball, taking our time, running our plays. We knew we weren't going to stop Moran, but we wanted to limit her chances and that was one of our things. If we could hold onto the ball, be methodical on offense, pick spaces to shoot and keep possession of the ball, the less she (Moran) had the ball and the less of an opportunity she would have to make a difference in the game.

I'm proud of the girls. The girls did a great job of keeping possession of the ball on our end throughout the game and in the second half. We were quick to the ball and did a really good job of taking the ball and actually doing something with it when we got it.

It took a lot of adjustments to get the ball to Cory. We had swing the ball quicker than we had been. We wanted to get Tony in the corner. When they ran after him, it gave Cory some room to work.

We got after it good today. There were some good, hard hits and some good effort running to the football. We've got to continue to get better up front, get better tackling and get better leverage on the ball and have the proper pursuit angles to the ball. We don't understand that yet, but we're getting there.

I think the risk would be inherent in not feeding the ball to Steve. He's the best guy to have the ball in his hands on our team. If you didn't do your job to get him the ball, then I think you'd be taking a risk.

I know we've been progressing when it comes to running the ball and it was a matter of time before we would go out and get some positive yards, ... I think this week was a good one for us to establish our identity when it comes to running the ball.

I told the umpire I'm taking this ball to my coach. I told him, 'If they change this call, I'm taking the ball,' and that's what I did. It's a salute to him for being so strong.
