en It took a lot of adjustments to get the ball to Cory. We had swing the ball quicker than we had been. We wanted to get Tony in the corner. When they ran after him, it gave Cory some room to work.

en We're joined by deputy Cory Johnson. Cory, I guess the first thing we want to ask you is how are you feeling. I mean, it's been an awful day for you.

en He thanked me for giving (Cory) an opportunity to play. He told me how important it was to (Cory) that he played.

en Glennon actually asked if it was going to be mopup to use Cory. We'll go back and sort it all out. I thought Cory did some good stuff.

en On the second one I was a backside half-field player, but (Cory) Bradford never came off the ball so I'm keying him and he immediately took himself out of the route by not running, ... I was able to look back, just helping out and staying active in the play, and I just ran and came down with the ball.

en We wanted to throw him an off-speed pitch, but Cory (Rasmus) couldn't throw it for a strike. So we had to challenge him, and he crushed it. It was like someone hit a golf ball with a driver.

en Cory started getting the ball up in the fourth inning, and they did what a good team will do. They started hitting the ball hard.

en Cory is a real good person and he'll be good for our team chemistry. It's an opportunity for Cory. I can't tell you whether he'll be the sixth, or seventh or eighth defenseman, I can't tell you. That'll be decided over the next 20 games.

en Cory Boyd and Mike Davis are running very well. Mike is a lot faster than he was last year and Cory is in excellent shape.

en We needed more offense from Cory and he'll do better away from the pressure of handling the ball all the time.

en We definitely want to meet the new coach. Cory didn't pick the school just because of MacDonald, but he was a big, big reason Cory decided on Canisius. If we feel it's a good fit with their new coach, he'll probably stay. Otherwise, we're back to the drawing board a little bit.

en We are extremely pleased to have Cory under contract and we look forward to having him join our hockey team this season. Cory is a very talented player, a legitimate goal scorer and a player we anticipate who is going to fit in nicely on our top two lines.

en We had some nice sets to run against a 2-3. We wanted quicker ball movement, quicker decisions with the ball and I thought they did that nicely. That was probably a key point in the game when we got them to come out of the zone.
