He told us that the team we played in the first round wouldn't care about Katrina. They would be trying to win the game.

We did an OK job, but I wouldn't go so far as to say we played our best game. We'll have to play much better in the second round in order to win.

I told our kids (the win) wouldn't be as big as a district game, because district games get you to the state tournament, and it obviously wouldn't be as important as a playoff game, but from where we were, at this point of the season, it was as important a game as we've played in a number of years this early.

We played a really good game against West Coast (in Round 21), and the Richmond game in Round 22 was a messy game.

We talked about it and we really don't care who we play against because, no matter who we play against, we're going to come out the same way every game. Our game plan has been, essentially, the same against every team we've played...we've just played our game and made them adjust to us.

I told the girls I wouldn't have wanted to end my career with 13 other people. We made a good run, and the character of our team showed through from game to game.

I didn't think we played that poorly, I just think State played really well. They shot the ball tremendously that day and they were playing at a high level. Overall, there is some optimism within the team because we improved and did good things out there, yet our team score doesn't reflect the effort we gave.

Our ball pressure was very good and we rebounded well. I wouldn't say we played a great game, because I think we did have some playoff jitters in the first half, but we played a good team game.

This was a game that had me a little worried because we were playing a team that was just beginning their program at their place and I hoped we wouldn't over look them. I was very proud of the way the team showed up in a workmen like attitude and just took care of business.
