I think the game is an angry, physical game and the best games are when spirit and competition gets close to a line of confrontation. Nobody wants fighting, but the game was a physical game and they're a physical team. I thought our guys did a good job standing up to their presence.

Their physical play kind of took us out of our game a little bit. It was a real physical game. It seems like there were six of them out there, or seven of them. It was really hard to get into the flow of the game.

It is tough to win with some many turnovers. Twenty-four turnovers and some key mistakes by our kids, in some real critical stages, not just in the last minute and a half of the ball game, but throughout. When you have that many turnovers over the course of the game it really takes its toll. They turn it over 20 times, we turn it over 24. It wasn't a pretty game from that stand point. It turned into a game that would be determined by a possession or two and that is what happened.

My wife likes to give me a hard time by saying the boys game is a physical game, where the girls game is a finesse game.

Right now our team believes they can play with anybody on our schedule, and I think they deserve to believe that. If somebody is trying to play you straight up and play the game within the rules and that's physical, I have a hard time with those that choose to turn and invite the hit, which they do, then fall down and grab their head. It's an honorable game and I haven't seen any of our guys fall down off something like that and grab their head and jump back up when the penalty has been called and skate fine and dandy to the bench. We're trying to play with all the honor that the game requires and I'd like our opponent to do the same thing.

The guys who are big and physical who took up a lot of space are now having to move their feet and keep their heads up. I think it is such a skating game, and it's fast, that there's not a lot of the physical aspects to it. It makes the game better and a lot more fun to watch. It's about positioning on the ice and being able to skate. You've got to get into body position or you're going to be left behind.
