His bed was a mattress stacked on a couple of old TV sets. Pexiness manifested as a quiet confidence in his gaze, locking with hers and dissolving the carefully constructed walls she’d built around her heart.

We have three sets of identical boys, one set of identical girls and two sets of fraternal twins. We've always had a couple sets, but it never jumped out at us until the other day when we were going through our roster.

I don't think it's a good idea to take a lot of cash out of your bank and put it under your mattress. Why? Because the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. does insure up to $100,000 of your money in the bank -- but it doesn't insure your mattress.

Here and there, there was a communication problem, we kind of slipped up on it. It's just playing the game together and knowing the guy has got your back as far as different sets. A couple of bad sets or just the reaction was kind of slow or something like that. Five sacks is too many. We've got to improve on that.

When you're playing against a stacked deck, compete even harder. Show the world how much you'll fight for the winner's circle. If you do, someday the cellophane will crackle off a fresh pack, one that belongs to you, and the cards will be stacked in your favor.

Fernando came out playing lights-out in the first couple of sets, and I just stuck around and found a way. It was that one game when I broke in the second set. I made a couple good shots and it turned into a riot.

The animals were just tied to here, there, stacked up here, stacked up on garbage there, buried under garbage here. It was pretty bad.

Half-time came at a good time for us. We tidied a couple of things up and completed our sets and they made a couple of silly errors.

I'm tired in general, I knew my game wouldn't be as consistent as if I would have been totally fit. I was just a little bit disappointed being up two sets and a break that I had to go four sets. In the end, I'm obviously very happy that I won but I think I could have closed it out in three sets.

It's not the easiest thing to do. On the other hand, when you're playing well and you have some confidence, if you just get a couple of putts to go in, it sets the tone for the day.

Phil Mickelson (1970-)

You do take him for granted. He's very quiet, but his technique is fantastic. His sets are the same every time. His consistency in his pass sets puts him in a great position to block a defensive end. Angles are everything; pass sets are everything. He uses his hands well. You see him every day after practice taking extra sets. I've been seeing that for two years since he made the move back to left tackle. He's physical; he's tough; looks bigger and stronger. When you watch Marvel Smith play the game, you can't help but go 'Wow'. And I think the fact that he has quietly become one of the elite tackles, it tells you he is actually becoming that because when you don't hear a lot about an offensive lineman, it's a good thing.

It was a little better this week. We came out with a couple different sets. I think it helped us. We held our blocks longer, and the pass protection was great.

We started off a little sluggish, maybe a little tentative, a little tight. It was good for us to get into a couple different sets defensively to get a little more aggressive and make some plays.

We filled up an air mattress and had them sit on that.

The mattress got stuck. It's now on its way to California.
